Year-end Celebration Social

TALK Lab team continues their tradition of celebrating the end of a productive year and the chosen spot for this Spring 2023 semester is Yum Yum Icecream!

Dr. Fields-Olivieri, Brianna, Crystal and Kristin enjoyed their first lab trip to Salt Lake City, UT for SRCD (Society of Research for Child Development) 2023! 

Presentations include:

Crystal is awarded Junior Scientist Fellowship from APA!

Crystal was selected as one of the winners of the APAGS/Psi Chi Junior Scientist Fellowship! This competitive fellowship recognizes outstanding research-oriented students in the beginning of their graduate study to help them begin successful research programs or projects. Exciting accomplishment, Crystal!

Woohoo to completing 1st year!

Kristin and Brianna successfully presented their posters as part of their graduate statistics class (PSY 610) milestone project! Amazing work, Kristin and Brianna! Welcome to second year :)

R.E.A.L. Congrats, Crystal!

Crystal successfully proposed her Master's Thesis and her committee was very impressed with her project! She is developing a coding system that captures parents’ emotion socialization and communicative practices during everyday parent-toddler interactions using naturalistic LENA audio recording samples. Excellent work, Crystal!

Celebrating TALK lab's 1st year and lab social!

TALK lab team members celebrated the end of academic year as well as the lab's first year at UNC Greensboro with baked goods from Tate St. Coffee Shop!

Crystal presents at ICIS 2022

Crystal enjoyed her trip to Ottawa, Canada and wonderful experience of presenting at/ attending ICIS (International Congress of Infant Studies) 2022! Her poster looked at the relation of maternal sensitivity, toddler temperament and language ability with daily mother-toddler communication patterns using naturalistic LENA audio samples and observations of parent-child interaction tasks completed at home.
